Spicejet Charges Rs 12, IndiGo Charges Rs 11 Only as Base Fare
The Gurgaon-based airline carrier, IndiGo, is the largest passenger airline carrier in the country, it has a market share of nearly 40% and operates flights connecting to 46 destinations across the globe- 39 domestic and 7 international. IndiGo has a fleet size of 131 including 19 new generation A320neos. Today, due to competition, it had to introduce a Spicejet like special sale across its network: Rs 11 (base fare) as against Spicejet's Rs 12.
Booking period- May 23 till May 28, 2017
Travel period- June 26, 2017, to March 24, 2018
Fares like Rs 899 on select domestic destinations and vacation getaways.
