Archna Exp Took 139 Minutes to cover 19 kms; a 3rd line coming up

Breaking News :

12355 Archna Exp : Arr MGS 10:21 Dep BSB 12:40.
100s of Archna Exp passengers on 28 May 2016 found that the train took 139 minutes to cover 19 Kms.

The BSB-MGS stretch is one the slowest stretches on the Railway network. The fastest train is the Shramjeevi Exp whose schedule time is 35 minutes to cover the 19-km normal distance between MGS and BSB.

The Railways have now decided to lay a third line between MGS and BSB. It is expected to ease the movements between PNBE, HWH  and BSB. Trains' speed might increase as assured by NR GM A K Puthia. Work on a third line between MGS and HWH under the dedicated freight corridor scheme is already on.
BSB and HWH will then be connected by 3 lines!!!
